Our 'mission' is to support the sexual health and mental health needs of gay men, bisexual men and other men who have sex with men.

As a project we work both operationally with individuals or groups of guys at a range of locations, trying to interface with the work of other organisations in the area, and strategically. The 'mainly 4 guys' section probably gives an idea of some of our operational work.

We try to devote a large proportion of our budget to 'operational' work, but also work strategically, attempting to have an input which will improve things for our communities.

We are leading on the establishment of a Homophobic Bullying Forum across all of Essex - bringing together all those with an interest in working on homophobic bullying issues, trying to share good practice and looking at ways forward.

We are part of a community group (PACT - Police and Communities Together) and have worked with Essex Police over a number of years to establish policies on policing the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered communities. We input into police training on issues of sexuality in general and in terms of policy implementation.

We support and advise Hate Crime and Crime and Disorder Panels in a number of areas.

We work closely with the Essex Youth Service, both in trying to ensure that appropriate facilities exist for young gay men, and also inputting into the Youth Service's Prison No Way programme.

We have developed some material around issues of sexuality for use in schools in Years 8 or 9.
